Whirlwind In Rahotu Township
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 22. Chimneys toppled, part of a shed was lifted and then dumped, loose objects flew through the air and several trees were blown over Mien a short sudden whirlwind cut a narrow' swathe through the western part of the Rahotu township about 4 p.m. yesterday. No major damage has been reported and nobody was injured. An eyewitness saw a 500 ft high waterspout about five minutes before the whirlwind struck.
