BOY ATTACKED BY DOG
Ear Nearly Torn Off A three-year-old boy had an ear nearly torn off by a dog at Loburn last Saturday. He is: Evan Browne, son of Mr and Mrs F. G. Browne, farmers, of Loburn Evan is now in Burwood Hospital, where the ear has been grafted back into position. Mr and Mrs Browne have only recently taken over their farm. There were two or three dogs on the property when they moved in, and it was one of these that bit Evan. The dog has since been destroyed. When the ear was inspected yesterday, the chances of the graft being successful were considered good. Also, a bite on a cheek which required stitches, had healed satisfactorily.
