PARLIAMENT’S DIARY
The House of Representatives went into a committee of supply yesterday to discuss the Imprest Supply Bill No. 2. Four questions were asked Ministers, and sever ’ papers were tabled, including the annual reports of the Tourist Hotel Corporation and the Armed Forces Canteen Council. Speakers in the Imprest debate included:— Government: The Prime Minister (Mr Nash), Messrs R. J. Tizard (Tamaki), M. A. Connelly (Riccarton), E. J< Keating (Hastings), and the Minister of Finance (Mr Nordmeyer). Opposition: Messrs W. S. Goosman (Piako), R. M. Algie (Remuera), D. C. Seath (Waitomo), A. E. Kinsella (Hauraki), J. R. Hanan (Invercargill). W. B. Tennent (Manawatu), and L. R. AdamsSchneider (Hamilton). Supply was granted in the late afternoon and the House rose at 4.45 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
