ARMY OFFICE SPACE
Extensions To Headquarters Extended office buildings for the headquarters of the SouthernMilitary District in Christchurch will be completed by the end of August. The headquarters will then be housed in one building instead of being scattered in different places around King Edward Barracks.
A waiting room, a larger draughting room for the engineering headquarters. and more spacious and more, attractive offices are being built. Equipment, furniture and files are now being transferred into some of the new offices but the building will not be fully occupied for about six weeks. When the district headquarters is occupied a start will be made on extending and renovating the Area 10 offices.
