Mr J. H. Phillipps To Be Manager
Mr J. H. Phillipps. 0.8. E., of Wellington. will be the manager of the M.C.C. cricket team which will tour New Zealand next summer. This was announced jointly by the M.C.C. and the New Zealand Cricket Council last evening. “Tiie appointment of Mr Phillipps is a great compliment to New Zealand cricket, as well as recognising his personal qualities, which made him such a popular manager of our teams in England in 1949 and 1958." said Mr J.
