PUBLIC NOTICfS HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES. Rate required to produce £29,589 is one penny in the pound of rateable Capital Value. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to the Counties Act, 1956, and the Rating Act, 1925, and amendments thereto, it is the intention of the Heathcote County Council, at a meeting to be held on Thursday, July 28, 1960, to make and levy the following rates:— 1. A GENERAL RATE of one

penny (Id) in the pound of all 1 rateable Capital Value in the County of Heathcote. a 2. A WATER RATE in the Cash- ° mere Water Supply Area and J Murray Aynsley Water Supply Area in' respect of the ordinary water supply within the meaning of the Heathcote a County By-law 1933: a (a) Upon all land and dwell- i ings to which water is supplied: where the Annual 7 Value does not exceed 1 twelve pounds ten shillings, r a RATE of £1 per annum, fr (b) Where the Annual Value e exceeds twelve pounds ten v shillings, a RATE of £2 4s a (Two pounds four shill- s ings) per cent, of such value provided that in no case shall the rate for the ? ordinary water supply be » less than £1 per annum. “ (c) Upon all land and buildings to which water can be, but is not, supplied, situ- I ated within one hundred yards of any part of the water works, a RATE of 1 one half of the above mentioned, with a minimum charge of ten shilling per annum. 3. A FIRE PROTECTION RATE of decimal nought six two five I pence (.0625d) in the pound on p the Capital Value of all rateable properties within the District of the Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board within the Counter of Heathcote. 4.
