MAN’S DEATH AT PARTY
Bushman Sent For Trial (New Zealand Press Association) WHAKATANE, July 6. Willie Leef, aged 34, a bushman, was today committed tor trial in the Supreme Court at Gisborne on a charge of manslaughter. He pleaded not guilty to the charge of having caused the death of James Taylor, aged 27. a railway worker, at a party at Matabina on June 10, when he appeared before Messrs A. E Lambert and A. G. Judd, Justices of the Peace, in the Magistrate’s Court at Whakatane.
