£7m Takeover Bid For Food Chain

Woolworths, Ltd., has made a £7.4m takeover bld for Matthews, Thompson and Company, Ltd., the largest grocery chain in New South Wales. The offer has been accepted by the directors of Matthews. Thompson, who recommend acceptance by shareholders. Ordinary capital of Matthews, Thompson comprises prises 7.491,624 5s ordinary stock units. Woolworths are offering a one-for-one share exchange. '
