GIFTS OF N.Z. PRODUCE
Heads Of West African States (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 6. To mark the start of a new direct shipping service to West Africa, the New Zealand producer boards are presenting Dr. Nkrumah, the president of Ghana, and Mr Abubakar, .the Prime Minister of Nigeria, with, gifts of New Zealand produce. Representatives of the producer boards and the Department of Industries and Commerce will be present at the Captain Cook wharf, Auckland, tomorrow when the gifts—lamb, butter and apples —are loaded in the motor-vesael Karamea, which will inaugurate the service. With the gifts will go a personal letter from the Prime Minister (Mr Nash). The Karamea is expected to sail on Saturday.
