BURNED TO DEATH IN BED
Man’s Body Found At Otematata (Neto Zealand Press Association) * TIMARU, June 30. The charred body of a skilled labourer was found in his hut at Otematata village.in the early hours of this morning. He was: Range Ropata, a married man, aged about 48. Ropata was a Ministry of Works employee engaged on the Beiunore hydro-eleetric power project.
Ropata waa found at 2 a.m. by a fellow worker, Mr James Brown. The bedclothes were badly burnt and an electric heater was stilt alive. An inquest may be held later today.
