MEAT PRICES INCREASED
Id per lb Rise On Monday Beef, lamb, mutton and pork prices will all rise Id per lb in most parts of the South Island on Monday. The increases are authorised in a Gazette notice published yesterday. They apply to the Marlborough Nelson, Westland and Canterbury meat-pricing districts. .Although some districts are to have cheaper meat of- certain grades, no decrease applies to Marlborough, Nelson, Westland or Canterbury. Hogget prices, which will rise as much as 2d per lb in other districts, are unchanged in Canterbury.
