Ball At Winter Garden The St. Andrew’s Cross picked out in coloured lights greeted guests entering the foyer of theWinter Garden last evening for the St. Andrew’s College ParentTeacher Association’s ball. The lounge and ballroom were decorated with winter foliage. The college colours were predominant in the supper room, where the supper tables were set on a background of St. Andrew’s Cross -and- illuminated with white candles set in blue bottles. Posy bowls of blue stylosus and pink heather completed the Scottish atmosphere. Guests were received by the president of the Parent-Teacher Association (Mr T. M. Stanton) and Mrs Stanton; assisted by the vice-presidents, Messrs C. M. Brander and R. F. Riggs, and their wives.

Mrs Stanton chose a gown of wild gherry nylon chiffon, draped on Grecian lines.

Official guests included the rector of St. Andrew’s College (Mr. L. W. Stewart) and Mrs Stewart, the president of the St. Andrew’s' College Old Boys’ Association (Mr D C. McMillan! and Mrs McMillan, Mr John Bradley and Mrs Bradley i (president of the Rangi-ruru Old Girls’ Association), and the Principal of Rangi-ruru School (Mrs M. G Patrick) -

Mr and 1 Mrs W M. Hendrie. Douglas and Joan gave a demonstration of Scottish folk dancing, and the senior members of the St. Andrew’s College Pipe Band played waltzes. Secretarial arrangements were in the hands of Mr G. A. M. Hilson. Decorations were by Mrs E. R. Mars and members of the women’s committee.
