Penalty Wanted
The Auckland Metropolitan Road Safety Council has decided tu inform the Minister of Transport (Mr Mathison) that it thinks that it should be an offence for a person to leave a car unlocked and with the key in the ignition on a roadway at night The council took this action after receiving a letter from the Secretary of Justice (Mr S. T. Barnett) on behalf of the Minister, asking its opinion on a proposal to penalise a person for leaving a car unlocked at night—(PA.)
