Cliff Williams, has come to Townsville from Auckland to study the methods used by the coaches with the Australian Olympic swimming team. The Melbourne "Herald** swimming writer with the team in Townsville reported today. “He thinks the expense involved is more than worthwhile,” the writer said. "Cliff’s wife, the formed New Zealand champion, Norma Bridson. will join him here next week.’’
