"Emphasis On Aged Sick”

“The Nurse Maude District Nursing Association is adapting itself to changes in social conditions and the structure of the community,” said the actingchairman of the association (Mr S. E. Mair), at the annual meeting. “In the beginning, the association was more intimately concerned with the poor sick. Today the main emphasis is on the aged sick,** he said.

The lady superintendent (Mbs Mona Corkill) said the association existed not only to nurse the aged but to assist everyone in the community, of all ages. Sketch plans for extensions to Averill House, the association’s hospital in Leinster road, were circulated. Officers elected were:—
