Inquiry Subpoenas Pauling
WASHINGTON. June 19.
The Nobel Prize-winner, Dr. Linus C. Pauling, said today that he had been subpoenaed to testify tomorrow “on Communist participation in, or support of, a propaganda campaign against nuclear testing.” Dr. Pauling, who has sworn he is not a Communist, said the subpoena was issued by the Senate Internal Security sub-committee. He added: “I don’t know anything about Communist activity.”
