Wage Increases Refused SYDNEY, June 20 The New South Wales State Industrial Commission today refused an application by the NS.W. branch of the Printing Industry Employees' Union of Australia for marginal increases for its members employed by Sydney daily newspaper companies. Mr Justice McKeon rejected the union’s claim for 15j per cent marginal increases for its members. His Honour xaid “no good and cogent reason whatever** had been shown why the awards concerned should be re-opened and the rates of pay varied. Mr Justice McKeon said that on present facts the agreements between the union and the companies must stand until their currency had expired. After expiration of the agreements it would be open to the union to have the rates reviewed in the light of the law and the relevant facts and circumstances as they then existed.

My opinion is that the future good or bad conduct of a child entirely depends upon the mother—Napoleon.
