EFFECT OF BAN

Cargoes Light By W Tons (Now Zealand Picm Acsociatttm) WELLINGTON, June 20. The nine-day loading-out ban on export meat and by-products caused overseas vessels to be short-loaded to the extent ot an estimated 3000 tons of meat and dairy produce, according to spokesmen for the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board and the Conference shipping lines. The ban, according to the same sources, also contributed to the congestion which is being experienced at both Auckland and Wellington, although bad weather since the bah was lifted has also affected loading operations at these and other ports. It Is possible that some overseas •hips which are scheduled to sail this Week will leave New Zealand only partly loaded. The later loadings of meat will also mean delays at the ports of destination —Britain, Akaba, Piraeus and Genoa—for the arrival of cargoes, mainly meat
