Squadron Leader J. E. Seal, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, will leave for Wellington this evening to attend the opening of Parliament on Wednesday. Mr.E. L. Greensmith, Secretary of the Treasury, will replace Sir Bernard Ashwin as representative of the Minister of Finance on the board of directors of the Tasman Pulp and Paper Company, Ltd., from June 30. Dr. George Jobberns, who recently retired as professor of geography at the University of Canterbury, recently received a presentation at the Christchurch Teachers* College where he was a lecturer for many years. Mr J. B. Hindin (Christchurch) and Mr S. M. Prosser- (Nelson) have been granted transfers of status by the New Zealand Society of Accountants to fellow public accountant (FJ’.A.N.Z.)
