24 Lots Bring 5775 Guineas (New Zealand Press Association; PALMERSTON NORTH, June 18. Brood mares and young racing stock irom the Flaxbourne stud, tht property cl the late Mr W. V. Shannon, brougnt S776gns in a dispersal sale at Awapuni yesterday. Top price of Siogns was offered for the Blue Peter mare. Sea Anemone, me dam of the wellperformed Australian galloper Tirage and an Aipenhom colt which was widely publicised after bringing aoougns at this year’s national sales at Trentham. Sea Anemone, which was offered under condition of a free return service to Red Marlin, went to Mr J. Milligan, of Masterton. Sums of SOOgng were also offered for the nine-year-old brood mare Lake Taupin, a sister to Tauloch, and a chestnut weanling colt by Astreus from New Year’s Eve, A total of 16 brood mares changed hands for 3«oogns at an average of 226gns. Two lots listed as untried stock were purchased for 3Ssgns, and seven weanlings brought 2u2ogns. at an average of 288Jgns.
