TARANAKI COWBELL IN BAGGAGE
New Zealand Party On Way To S.A.
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 19.
The sound of a New Zealand cowbell will be heard at the All Blacks' matches in South Africa soon. The cowbell was an important item in the baggage ■ot a party of New Zealanders who left whenuapai Airport yesterday for Sydney en route to South Africa to follow the All Blacks throughout the tour. The cowbell, a real Taranaki article, will be wielded enthusiastically from the sidelines to add a distinctively New Zealand flavour to the games.
There are four married couples and eleven single men in the party. Canterbury, Wellington, Taranaki, Hawke’s Bay, and Auckland are represented.
The party will arrive in South Africa on Tuesday and will be at the Hfst test next Saturday.
