POLICY IN AFRICA
Criticism Of West
(Rec. 10 p.m.) ADDIS ABABA, June 18.
The United Arab Republic’s deputy Foreign Minister, Mr Zukficar Sabry, today accused the colonial Powers of leaving "time bombs” behind in Africa.
They did this in order to be recalled as ‘’firemen” when African States gained their independence, he said. He and other delegates at a meeting of independent African States, attacked the United States, France and Israel—the latter as a “go-between mask behind which colonialism hopes to increase again.” Representatives of black South African groups said they had obtained full support for a fourpoint programme against South African apartheid: A ban on all shipments to South Africa from Arab countries; A ban on South African over flights of African countries. A boycott of South African exports at official governmental levels. Support to take the case of Southwest Africa before the International Court at The Hague, fti addition, they hoped for concerted action to aid refugees from South Africa's apartheid policy.
