Coal
Sir, —I am afraid I. Trew is still off the rails. In the first place I have never stated that coal costs me £lO a ton, as my letter of June 7 will confirm (Mr Trew should brush up his arithmetic). Second, I am not interested in what he pays for his coal nor how long he has been paying fuel bills, even, though I have been paying similar bills for over 50 years. As for changing my coal merchant, that is my concern, and not his. It is the quality of the coal supplied by some merchants that I have complained about and I am afraid that unldss strong measures are taken the position will go from bad to worse. This matter should be taken up at Government level and coal merchants penalised if they sell household coal that has not passed over a stipulated reasonablysized screen.—Yours, etc., MOODY MOO. June 16, 1960.
