IMPROVEMENTS TO DRAIN
Residents Meet Local Body Members
Representatives of the Quinns Eoad School Home and Parent Association yesterday met members of the City Council and the Christchurch Drainage Board to show them the condition of Dudley creek near the school and to ask for the piping of the drain. School representatives said that the drain, which has become overgrown, was a danger to young children. The Drainage Board's responsibilities were explained, and its Representatives said the board had to look at the problem as it affected land drainage, and then relate it to the many other demands for drainage improvements.
