“PUBLICITY AIDS PROVINCE”
Progress League Report
Every success, every new citizen, and every item of publicity, whether on Christchurch city or on one of Canterbury's smaller towns and rural areas, aids the province’s progress by increased land utilisation, employment and increased demand for food production. says the annual report of the Canterbury Progress League.
Much of the public relations work of the league is unseen by the public, and much is designed for overseas distribution, the report continues, but its effectiveness is proved in its continued use by banks and commercial concerns.
The public relations committee of the league receives grants from local authorities, but more, effective publicity could be obtained with more finance. The committee hopes to raise extra finance for its work by plans which are now in hand.
