Missing Jewellery Found

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 9.

Mrs Alice Wood, of Wadestown, Wellington, who had reported the loss of a lizard-skin bag containing £lBOO worth of jewellery, today found the missing articles tucked in the sleeve of a cardigan —where she had put them yesterday.

Rather embarrassed at having caused alarm, she said: “I’m afraid I panicked. I definitely lost my handbag. I think it must have dropped out of the car. But my jewellery was not in it. When I discovered the bag was gone, I forgot I’d put my jewel bag in my cardigan. I found it this morning when I was shaking the sleeve out.
