An Ombudsman
Sir,—The public can but agree with you about Dr. Jobberns. Jlow about proposing Dr. Joboerns for the position of Ombudsman? Will there ever be a time in our city of more need? Are we,not at the turning point (if not past it), when certain types of development and expansions threaten elimination of much good and of traditional standards of ordered planning? To what gain? Reduction of provincial agriculture, erosion of aesthetics (if not moral standards) in decadence bear witness. Dr. Jobberns began a crusade to save Worcester street. He might knock off work to carry bricks.—Yours, etc., A NECESSITY. June 2, 1960.
