Two Nominations For N.Z. Manager
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 3. The management committee of the New Zealand Golf Association met recently in Wellington, but did not appoint a team manager for the New Zealand team to play in the Eisenhower trophy tournament in the United States in September. There were only tw r o nominations received —Mr D. O. Whyte, of Wellington, and Mr C. J. Ward, of Canterbury. The appointment will be made by the Golf Council which meets on June 17. WAIMAIRI BEACH LADIES CLUB.— Mid-week Stableford, A grade: Mrs R. Challis 29 points, Mrs S. Atkinson 28, Mrs M. Hall 26. B grade: Mrs L. Gobbe 28. Mrs M. Dawson 24, Mrs M. Patterson 23. Mrs Eggly runs a poultry farm in Kimberley.
