MINOR FIRES
One unit from the Sockburn nre station attended a small fire in a cupboard at 69 Elizabeth street, the property of Mr Walter Robertson, at 7.43 a.m. yesterday. There was slight damage to the interior of the cupboard. One unit from the Central station attended a fire in an electric oven at 15 Cross street, the property of Mr James Rhodes, at “•24 a.m. yesterday. Slight damage was caused by the fireA fire which started in a washhouse at 37 Waiwetu street, Fendalton, the property of Mr E. H. Dregg. at 10.30 a.m. yesterday, was attended by one unit from the Central station, one unit from St. Albans, and a Waimairi County Council tender. The wash-house was extensively damaged, and the rear of the house Was slightly damaged. At 11.49 a.m yesterday, three units from the Central station attended a small fire in a room at the New Windsor Hotel, 47 Manchester street The room Was slightly damaged. At 12.40 p.m. yesterday one unit from the Woolston station attended a chimney fire at 234 Linwood avenue, the prooerty of Mr Gilbert Cecil Sprott. There $ was no damage.
