Sewerage Work Contracts Let
A tender of Canterbury Pipelines. Ltd., for £29.228 for the Sparks road collecting sewer was accepted by the Christchurch Drainage Board last evening. Other tenders accepted included:—£s392 by the Moore Construction Company, Ltd., for St. Martins Valley sewer extension, section one; £5039 by E. M. Hobson, Ltd., for the No. 10 rising main in Birchfield avenue; and £ll,BBO also by E. M. Hobson, Ltd., for section two of McGregors road sewer reticulation. No tenders were received for two of the board’s smaller jobs—the Addington drain diversion and piping of the Fendalton drain in Chileombe street.
