ACCEPTANCE OF COMMANDO
Courtenay Handicap Redrawn
Because a telegram for the acceptance of Commando in the Courtenay Handicap at Riccarton next Monday was misplaced in the office of the Canterbury Jockey Club the field has had to be recast. Commando now re-enter* the field and Talkative has been eliminated. The order of horse* balloted out with right of re-entry and brackets are also affected, and aome of the barrier draws have had to realigned. The following 1* the field:— COURTENAY HANDICAP, of £400; seven furlongs.—Lola (18) 9-0; Dalmain (29) 8-12; Buckshot (16) 8-10; Gay Duchess (23), Racebook (3), Andaman (19) 8-9; Ascend (28), Sir Pedro (10) 8-8; Super Glen (26). Peak Effort (15) 8-7; Commando (14), Dice (20), Neron (5), Evening Sun (21), Vickery (6), Abu El Saad (7), Misty Bank (12), Royal City (4), Cairo News (13), Navarone (1), Real Response (9), Napoleon Bonaparte (17), Steel Blade (30), Voysa (22), Lecord (24), Air View (8) 8-6.
Balloted out with the right of reentry in the following order: Treasure de Lune (27), The Drifter (2), Detail (11), Moray Firth (25) 8-6. Brackets: Cairo News and Detail, Navarone and Real Response, Napoleon Bonaparte and Steel Blade, Voysa and Moray Firth, Lecord and Air View, The Drifter and Treasure de Lune.
