FUND TO AID AFRICANS

A South African aid fund toi the dependents and relatives o: those killed and injured in the recent disturbances in Soutt Africa has been set up in Wellington. The money collected will b< forwarded to the Christian Actior Group in London, which hai established a fund to help natives in South Africa.
Money from the English fund and its New Zealand counterpart will be distributed by a committee working with South Africa, which has as its chairman' the Bishop of Johannesburg (the Rt. Rev. Ambrose Reeves). Bishop Reeves has fled South Africa for fear of being arrested after his outspoken comments on the Sharpeville shootings, and is now in Swaziland, but it is understood his committee is still functioning under his direction.
