REFORMED CHURCH
De Blank May Seek Action LONDON, April 10. The Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town (the Most Rev. Joost de Blank) said today that he may seek the expulsion of the Dutch Reformed Church of South Africa from the World Council of Churches, the London “Daily Mail” reported. He said he would take the step if a fact-finding commission from the council was refused entry to South Africa or if the findings of the- commission did not reflect creditably on the Dutch Reformed Church. The Dutch Reformed Church was the one to which nearly all Afrikaners belonged, the “Daily Mail" said. The Archbishop, who had attacked the Church several times in the past, said: “They hold more power over the Government and Afrikaner people than any other body. They have the power to force the Government and the Afrikaner people to a realisation of the wrongness of their racial policies—but they will not do it. “In theory the Dutch Reformed Church rejects apartheid. They made their official decision to do so three years ago, after trying unsuccessfully to find theological and scriptural justification for it
