Brothers , * (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 11. Two tisters, aged three and seven, were found shot dead in their beds at a fruit farm at Walpipl near Waiuku, at 9.15 pm. today. Their two brothers, aged 12 and 16, are misting. Late tonight it was not known who was responsible for the killings. The dead girls were: CAROLINE BRIDGE, aged seven; and VALERIE BRIDGE, aged three. Their father, Mr D. R. Bridge, arrived home from a prayer meeting to find the girls dead in their beds in separate bedrooms. Mrs Bridge was at a woodwork night class. One girl was lying curled up in a sleeping position with a bullet hole, believed to be of 32 calibre, behind her ear. The other girl was lying on her back with a bullet hole in her forehead. In another room were a shotgun and a .22 rifle. Ammunition was strewn over the floor. Mr Bridge drove to a telephone to call the police. A policeman went from Waiuku and a squad of detectives from the Auckland Central Police Station left soon afterwards for Waipipi. The police immediately scoured the orchard for any trace of the boys. They had not been found late tonight.
