The themo la that the Iskmo which lad to the crucifixion of Christ are atffl significant today. The nlav was first oresented by the New Pilgrim Players in England in 1953. They are the professional company of the Religious Drama Society of Greet Britain. It has a cast qf six, and is being produced for the Christchurch society by Mrs Wendy De La Bere. who has had considerable experience in religious drama production overseas. Mrs Martin Sullivan, president of the society, said that cane was being taken to ensure that the action could be seen easily, and the play would be acted on a high rostrum in the Cathedral The play will begin on April 20 and run for four, nights.
