AIRCRAFT AGAIN FORCED DOWN
(From Our Own Reporter) HOKITIKA, April 10. The light Auster aircraft owned by Mr D. Wright of Hokitika, which made two forced landings on Greymouth beach a few weeks ago, was again forced to land in similar circumstances at Kaihinua, about four miles north of Hokitika on Friday. The plane, which was piloted by Mr B. Waugh, of Hokitika, was undergoing a test flight from the Hokitika aerodrome when the engine failed at 1.25 p.m., and the pilot was forced to land on the ' After doing repairs on the spot, the pilot managed to get the engine going again enabling him to fly back and land at the Hokitika aerodrome at 2.35 p.m.
