PUBLIC SERVICE ASSOCIATION
General Secretary To Retire Next Year (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 1. The general secretary of the Public Service Association for the last 15 years, Mr J. Turnbull is due to retire in February, next year on completition of 40 years’ service. Mr Turnbull, who was born in 1904, was educated at the Wanganui Technical College and Victoria University College and is a qualified accountant and solicitor He entered the Public Service in 1921 and was with the Public Trust in Wellington, Palmerston North and Samoa, and then as accountant in the Hamilton office of the State Advances Corporation before taking qver the association’s secretaryship.
