CHANGES SOUGHT ON FINANCE
Proposed Airport At Auckland (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 1. Members of Auckland local bodies have asked for changes in the Government’s financial proposals for an international airport at Ajuckland “to make them conform more closely with what we thought we had agreed on at Wellington.” A re-worded draft—Auckland’s version—was posted to the Prime Minister (Mr Nash) with a request for a reply before Mr Nash leaves for an overseas tour on Saturday. “Ours are not exactly alternative proposals,” said the Mayor (Mr D. M. Robinson) today. “We reworded the draft to make it conform more closely to what we thought we had agreed on at Wellington.”
