No Driver For Gentry

The leading Melbourne reinsman, Gordon Rothacker, has advised Mr H. S. Barry that he will be unable to drive the New Zealand pacer Gentry in the 1960 Inter - Dominion Championship, which will open at Harold Park, Sydney, on Saturday, January 30. The New Zealand driver, D. C. Watts, who usually drives Gentry will not make the trip to Sydney for the championship. Gentry’s trainer, R. Stockdale, said in Sydney today he hoped to get the services of a competent local reinsmariK Stockdale holds a driver’s Licence in New Zealand but he has not driven at Harold Park, and he prefers a driver with a good knowledge of the track to handle Gentry.
