Club Selects 41 Horses

(N.Z. P-ess Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, January 20. The New South Wales Trotting Club today selected 41 horses to contest the 1960 Inter-Dominion Championship at Harold Park. The club handicapper, Mr Jack Marx, eliminated 29 horses to reduce the field to 41.

Three heats of 12 horses will be selected from these 41 next Tuesday, January 26, when acceptances are declared for the first qualifying divisions of the Championship, to be run on Saturday, January 30. New Zealand horses selected today are: Aksarben, Bobby Brigade, Kiwi Grattan, Lady Belmer, Macklin, Scottish Command, Takitimu It; Gentry, Thunder 12; Caduceus, False Step, 36. Australian horses chosen are: Victoria.—Dusty Miller, Heroic Action, Maestro’s Melody, Marciano, Rich Dale It. South Australia.—Aachen. Kevejay, It. New South Wales.—Bannalagh, Brilliant Moon, Delvyn Ringer, Eden Monaro, First Kiss, Correlate, Guiseppe, Kerryfield, Marinetto, Meadowlands, Rosslawn, Shandy Prince, Southern Van, Sweet Oro, Tungsten, Tense, Ayr, Yonkers, It; Apmat, Diabolo Don, Fettle, Sibelia, 12. The two West Australian horses selected were omitted from the list sent.
