COAST COAL FOR PAPER MILL?
Minister Promises Assistance
The West Coast Composite Coal Committee has received a reply from the Minister of Mines (Mr Hackett) regarding the possible use of West Coast coal in the proposed pulp and paper mill in Canterbury. The Minister’s reply stated: "You have my assurance that I will do all in my power to especially assist in the concluding of the coal contract with New Zealand Forest Products.”
