French Syndicate Buys Pan II
(N.Z. Press Association-Copyright) SYDNEY, January 19. The imported French stallion, Pan 11, has been sold for a “big figure” to a French syndicate, the owner, Mr Lionel Israel, has announced.
Pan II will leave Sydney by air early next week to take up stud duties in France.
The stallion’s oldest Australian progeny are now three-year-olds. In their first season, Pan II two-year-olds won 14 races and £13,476 in stake money. Mr Israel, a well-known New South Wales breeder, refused an overseas offer of £50,000 for Pan H soon after he w’as bought three ?ears ago.
