Cycling HORNBY CLUB'S 10-MILE RACE
M. Wildermotli First
The twenty-one starters in the Hornby Cycling Club’s 10 mile weekly race on Monday evening rode hard on the outward run, assisted by a strong wind. On the return they had to struggle against the strong wind. A mile and a half from the finish R. Lucas cleared out from his co-markers off 40 seconds. One mile from the finish M. Wildermoth and A. Howison, both off 1‘,4 minutes, rode away from the leading bunch, which was breaking up. Lucas rode strongly through the stragglers but just failed to catch the leaders by 7sec.
