MINOR FIRES
The fire brigade attended three fires yesterday. The first, at 24 Sheldon street, was answered by one unit from Woolston, at 11.19 a.m. This was a fire under the veranda of an unoccupied house owned by Mr C. A. Gee.
The second call was at 3.7 p.m to a grassfire on a vacant section in Worthy street, Upper Riccarton. It was answered by one unit from Sockburn.
The third call at 4.10 p.m. was to an oven fire at the home of Mr John Lynn, 217 Barrington street. One unit from Sydenham attended. ■0
