Australia’s Wool Exports Up
(NZ. Press Association—Copyrig tit) CANBERRA. January 12. Australia’s wool exports for the five months ended November last year were £3sm higher than for the corresponding period of 1958, according to figures issued today by the Commonwealth Statistician (Mr S. R. Carver). Total value of all wool exports for the period were £l4lin as
against £lo6m for the previous year. Sales to the United Kingdom amounted to £2Bm as compared with £24m the previous year. Red China increased its purchases of Australia wool, particularly scoured and tops.
