Outstanding Performance By Wellington Bowler
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 10. In a day not notable for outstanding individual performances, the effort of one senior player in Wellington cricket on Saturday stood out like a beacon. O. E. Batchelor, the Karori medium-pace bowler, took 11 wickets in the afternoon’s Play. Wellington College Old Boys' collapse for 73 was largely due to Batchelors seven wiakets for 40. Then Karori in turn, folded up for 114. Old Boys batted again and at stumps had 51 runs up for the loss of four wickets—all victims of Batchelor.
