RENOVATION OF THE “CUDDY”

Work To Proceed On Project

i Plans and specifications for ur- ■ gent renovation and repairs of i the pioneer Studholme family s cottage, the “Cuddy.” at Waimate. have been completed, and the ■ architect (Mr O. W. MacDonald) has been authorised by the South Canterbury Regional Committee of the National Histone Places Trust to proceed with the project > in conjunction with the Ministry ■ of Works. At the October meeting of the ■ committee it was reported that ■ the deed in regard to the creation of the private reserve for the “Cuddy” had been completed. . Last month, the committee was told that the matter of repairs was urgent, especially some of JhT main beams in the interior . of the cottage. • • .
