Passengers Injured In Collision

WELLINGTON, December 4. Two badly injured teenagers were trapped in the “dicky seat” of a pre-war car for 20 minutes today after the car had been involved in a collision with a heavy truck at an intersection at Kilbimie. Those trapped were Miss Yvonne Owens, machinist, of Ferry street, Seatoun, who received a fractured right arm and a suspected fractured neck, and Colin Day, address unknown, who suffered shock and a suspected back injury. After the collision, the truck mounted the car and came to fest on its side, pinning Miss Owens and Mr Day. who were in the "dicky seat” The occupants of the car itself, Mr w. Pannettieri, of Lyall Bay. »md Miss P. Glanville, of Miramar, were not seriously injured. The driver of the truck was not injured.
