TWO BURNED TO DEATH
Confession By Youth (Rec. 11 p.m.) BRIDGEPORT (Alabama), December 3. A 19-year-old youth confessed today that he had burned alive his grandmother and great aunt in a fit of anger when they refused to buy him a car. The two women, Mamie Turner Cates, aged 61, the grandmother, and Rebecca Turner Brooks, aged 75, the aunt, were burned to death in a fire at their home in this North Alabama town yesterday. J. C. Daniels was imprisoned without bail on a charge of first degree arson with death involved, United Press International reported.
