N.S.W. Parliament Pay Rises
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, Dec. 2. The New South Wales Cabinet has approved pay rises for Legislative Assembly members, ranging from £525 for a private member to £1025 for the Premier. The increases will be retrospective to July 1, giving members a Christmas present of £250 in a lump sum. The Prernier’s pay will rise from £5975 to £7OOO a year, and that of the Leader of the Opposion from £3725 to £4500. Country members’ jJky will go up from £2775 to £3300, and city members’ from £2475 to £3OOO.
